Urban Planning / Civic Leadership / Strategic Consulting / Advocacy

I inspire and facilitate revolutionary changes that make our cities more functional, safe, accessible, beautiful, and vibrant places for everyone.

After getting my Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University, I spent nearly 15 years in San Francisco at MKThink, an architecture, strategy, and innovation firm.

There, I progressed in my career from Urban Planner to Director of Strategy and specialized in Higher Education Strategic Planning and K-12 Facilities Asset Management. The teams I led leveraged user research and data analytics to shape major design projects for our clients, including Stanford University, University of California at Berkeley, North Monterey County Unified School District, and Oakland Unified School District.

In 2019, I moved to San Diego to start my own consultancy.

I’ve been instrumental in projects for the Port of San Diego, local developers, and business districts. I serve as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for San Diego’s Downtown Community Planning Council and co-founded Walk n Roll San Diego, a non-profit that is remaking our streets into safe and inspiring places for all people, whether they walk or roll.

Civic Leadership & Advocacy

I am currently very involved in the Civic Life of downtown San Diego.
I was elected as Vice Chair of the Downtown Community Planning Council. Through significant reorganization and streamlining, I’m enabling the 19-member board to effectively fulfill its charter and serve our community.
Through my board leadership with San Diego Commons, I facilitated a renaming and rebranding effort for our primary initiative to make it catchy and actionable, calling it – “Green the Gap”, reconnecting San Diego Communities across the I-5 with Freeway Lids.
Through our non-profit, Walk n Roll San Diego, my co-founder Manny Rodriguez and I are gathering support to remake our streets into safe and inspiring places for all people, whether they walk, bike, roll, or use transit.
